Using a deck of enchanted cards, players summon beings trapped within them, engage in duels, and strive to outwit their opponents. Deck Design

How to Play

Game Setup

  • Deck Building: Each player builds a deck of 40 to 60 cards, including Wizards, Fairies, Spells, and Artifacts.
  • The Arcanum Field: The play area is divided into two main zones for each player: The Summoning Zone (for Wizards and Fairies) and the Arcane Zone (for Spells and Artifacts).
  • Drawing Cards: Players draw five cards from their deck to form their initial hand. Each turn thereafter, players draw one card.

Gameplay

  1. Turn Structure: Each player's turn is divided into four phases:
    • Draw Phase: Draw one card from your deck.
    • Summoning Phase: Summon Wizards or Fairies from your hand to the Summoning Zone, using mana points.
    • Action Phase: Activate card abilities, cast spells, or engage in battles. Each card's unique abilities can be used during this phase, depending on its mana cost.
    • End Phase: Check for any end-of-turn effects, then pass play to your opponent.
  2. Summoning Creatures: To summon a creature, pay its mana cost by tapping a number of your already summoned creatures or artifacts that generate mana. Creatures have summoning sickness and cannot attack on the turn they are summoned, except if they have the "Rush" ability.
  3. Battles: To initiate a battle, declare one of your creatures as the attacker and one of your opponent's creatures as the target. Battles are resolved by comparing the attacking creature's attack points (AP) against the defending creature's defense points (DP). If the attacker's AP is higher, the defending creature is destroyed and placed in the graveyard. If the DP is higher or equal, the attacker is destroyed.

Winning the Game

The game is won in one of two ways:

  1. Deck Out: If a player cannot draw a card because their deck is empty, they lose the game.
  2. Total Domination: If a player manages to control five creatures in their Summoning Zone while their opponent controls none, they declare "Total Domination" and win the game.

Special Rules

  • Card Effects: Many cards have unique effects that can alter the course of the game. Always read each card carefully.
  • Mana Overload: Each player starts with a mana limit of 10. If a player uses more mana than this limit allows, they suffer "Mana Burn," causing them to lose one life point for each point of mana over the limit used in a turn.
  • Artifact and Spell Cards: These cards can be played in the Arcane Zone. They provide various effects such as boosting your creatures, damaging enemy creatures, or other game-altering effects.

Strategy Tips

  • Balance Your Deck: Include a mix of low, medium, and high mana cost cards to ensure you can play effectively at all stages of the game.
  • Know Your Cards: Understanding the abilities and synergies between your cards is key to executing powerful combos.
